Tender Stem Broccoli
Broccoli is classified in the Italica cultivar group of the species Brassica oleracea. Broccoli has large flower heads, usually dark green in color, arranged in a tree-like structure branching out from a thick stalk which is usually light green. The mass of flower heads is surrounded by leaves. Broccoli resembles cauliflower, which is a different, but closely related cultivar group of the same Brassica species

Our notes
Broccoli consists of flowering heads that are harvested when the buds are unopened, small, and still green. The heads average 10 to 20 centimeters in diameter and grow on thick, fibrous stalks, emerging from a covering of large, leathery, dark green leaves.
The product is sold as prepacks in polypropylene punnets or bags, evenly graded and trimmed at the stem base and arranged according to the customer requirements. It can be packed as spears, tips and tiny tips depending on the customer specifications.
